CPR Training Offered for Orange County Teens and Young Adults

Posted on February 21, 2025 by Tim Bruno

Goshen, NY – Orange County teens and young adults can learn lifesaving CPR and AED skills for free this spring break through a program offered by County Executive Steve Neuhaus, the Orange County Youth Bureau, and the Orange County Division of EMS. The course will be held on April 17th at the Orange County Emergency Services Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The training is open to residents, students, volunteers, and workers aged 14 to 20 in Orange County. “CPR is not something to be taken lightly for adults or teens,” stated Neuhaus. “In emergency situations, every second counts, and having the knowledge and skills to perform CPR can mean the difference between life and death.”

The interactive course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to respond effectively to emergencies. “We are excited to partner with Emergency Services to be able to teach teens and young adults valuable life-saving skills,” said Orange County Youth Bureau Executive Director Rachel Wilson. “These free interactive trainings help to build confidence and include certifications to add to resumes for future jobs and volunteer experiences.”

Space is limited for the free CPR/AED training. Interested individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible through the Orange County website: https://www.orangecountygov.com/2216/CPR-and-First-Aid-training-information.
