LOCH SHELDRAKE, N.Y. (Nov. 17, 2025) – The Sullivan County Human Rights Commission is inviting the public to its first Roundtable on Human Rights, set for Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SUNY Sullivan’s Seelig Theatre, 112 College Road, Loch Sheldrake.
The roundtable aims to foster dialogue between county officials and residents on issues of civil and human rights. “Our human rights commissioners and myself are intent on making sure we listen to the people we serve – answering their questions, addressing their concerns, advocating for them whenever and wherever we can,” said Ramone Wilson, executive director of the Commission. “This roundtable is a place for that dialogue to happen, and I look forward to welcoming everyone who wants to have an honest and productive discussion about all of our rights, safety and justice.”
Participants will include Sullivan County Court Judge Danielle Jose-Decker, civil rights attorney Matthew Peluso, and local attorney Maria Zeno.
“From the workplace to the courthouse to our neighborhoods, together we can keep our communities safe and fair by always focusing on our shared civil and human rights,” Wilson added.
Registration is recommended but not required. Residents can register by calling the Human Rights Commission at 845-807-0189.
