Bridging the Digital Divide in NEPA

As education, health care, job search, and evening grocery shopping move deeper and deeper into the digital age, people have had to develop a new set of skills to navigate an increasingly technological, global society.

From connecting with services to connecting with peers, a person’s ability to flourish and thrive can be challenged by a lack of access to technology and a lack of skills.

Officials call this, the Digital Divide, and two groups in Wayne County are working together to close the gap. Tim Bruno spoke Alexa Ciaglia, Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance Education Specialist, about free digital literacy classes offered to residents.
