Yaya was born in the Dominican Republic but grew up in Park Slope Brooklyn. Taking her cue from her Mom, she studied for her BA, then her MA, and is now the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at SUNY New Paltz! She has her own wellness company, Sanate Wellness, is a registered yoga teacher and an author! Not to mention she’s a wife and mother and she knows a lot about wigs!
