A Delhi woman died Tuesday afternoon after her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a pickup truck on State Highway 28 in Delaware County, according to New York State Police.
Troopers responded to the scene just before 3 p.m. on Oct. 28 near the intersection with County Highway 6 in the town of Middletown.
Investigators said a 2022 Ford Edge driven by Natasha Reed, 36, of Delhi, was traveling north when, for reasons still under investigation, it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado.
Reed was taken to Margaretville Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup, Ernest K. Bilzer, 57, of Fleischmanns, was transported to O’Connor Hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening, police said.
State Police said the crash investigation remains ongoing.
