After Tuesday’s Village Election, Monticello has chosen Rochelle Massey as its new mayor-elect, according to the unofficial results from the Village of Monticello, with an overwhelming majority of 530 votes. Incumbent George Nikolados secured 136 votes.
The election also saw a reshuffle in the Village of Monticello Board of Trustees. Janice Davis and T.C. Hutchings received strong support from voters, with 544 and 553 votes, respectively.
Meanwhile, incumbents Michael Banks and Carmen Rue received 108 and 122 votes, respectively.
The Village of Monticello expects to start the process of certifying the results of the village election.
