Monticello, NY – Organizations serving children and youth under the age of 21 in Sullivan County now have an opportunity to secure funding for their programs. The Sullivan County Youth Bureau is currently accepting grant applications for initiatives that support youth development and organized activities.
“The New York State Office of Children and Family Services provides funding to the Youth Bureau for programs focused on youth development in these three funding areas: Youth Development, Sports Education Opportunity Funding, and Youth Team Sports,” said Youth Bureau Manager Catherine Paci. “I encourage everyone to visit our page at www.sullivanny.gov to learn which one will best meet the needs of their programs.”
Funding Opportunities Include:
- Youth Development Programs: Grants in this category support initiatives that focus on citizenship and civic engagement, community involvement, economic security, physical and emotional health, education, anti-trafficking efforts, and family support services.
- Youth Sports Education Opportunity Funding: Designed for organized activities that promote movement and physical fitness, including yoga, hiking, dance, and other outdoor activities for youth ages 6 through 17.
- Youth Team Sports: Focused on organized sports in under-resourced areas for youth under the age of 18.

Organizations interested in funding must submit completed applications by Friday, August 22, 2025. Applications with original signatures can be submitted in person at the Youth Bureau, located on the first floor of the Government Center at 100 North Street, Monticello, or by mail to:
