MONTICELLO, N.Y. — The Sullivan County Division of Public Works (DPW) is auctioning off nearly 40 surplus items — from heavy equipment and trucks to containers and even a commercial refrigerator — now through October 28.
“There’s something to interest any bargain-hunter,” said District 7 Legislator and Public Works Committee Chair Joe Perrello. “I invite everyone to take a look and make a bid.”
The online auction, hosted by Absolute Auctions and Realty, includes a 10% buyer’s premium. While some items may be lightly used or in working condition, all are sold as-is. The full catalog, with photos and descriptions, is available at aarauctions.com

Prospective bidders can also preview items in person at the DPW’s Maplewood Station, located at 745 Route 17B in Monticello, on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The auction closes October 28, with payment due by Friday, October 31 at 1 p.m. All lots are subject to seller approval, and invoices will be issued after approval. Purchased items must be picked up by appointment no later than Wednesday, November 5 at 2 p.m.
